What is the Intermezzo Society?

in•ter•mez•zo / ˌin-tər-ˈmet-(ˌ)sō / noun: a movement coming between the major sections of an extended musical work

Led by Annemarie Schumacher (left) and Amber Simpson (right), the Intermezzo Society connects its members with opera, Opera Theatre, and each other between each Festival Season. Members enjoy social events and behind-the-scenes access throughout the year, are among the first to learn about upcoming productions, and meet the company’s talented artists and creative teams – all while making new connections throughout the St. Louis community.
