Shuttle Van Driver
Position Description
Opera Theatre of Saint Louis (OTSL) is hiring a seasonal, part-time Shuttle Van Driver for the 2024 Festival Season. They will shuttle visiting artists and seasonal staff to/from rehearsals, performances, and other events in a 15-passenger van. OTSL is seeking drivers to fill day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities Include
Shuttle Van Driver responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Using good judgment and safe driving skills while adhering to local, state, and federal traffic laws.
- Accurately reviewing the shuttle van schedule and performing the scheduled shuttle rides during their shift.
- Keeping a timely shuttle route.
- Monitoring shuttle van fuel levels and re-fueling the vehicle as needed.
- Maintaining communication with members of the Artistic Administration Department about the van schedule, shift schedule, etc.
Experience & Qualifications
- Candidates must have a valid driver’s license.
- OTSL insurance regulations stipulate the driver be a minimum age of 25.
- Experience driving a 12 or 15-passenger van is preferred, but not required.
- All applicants must pass a background and driving record test.
Compensation
- This is a seasonal, part-time position.
- Compensation: $18.00 / hour

Several hundred volunteer members of the Opera Theatre Guild provide support for all aspects of Opera Theatre’s work and advocate for the company throughout the greater St. Louis community. The company’s annual budget size is approximately $12.5 million; contributed revenue represents more than 50% of budget.
