Single Tickets go on sale February 21
If you only know him from Robin Hood, you don’t know the whole story of Richard the Lionheart. Shipwrecked in a terrible storm on his way to the Third Crusade, one of England’s bravest kings must disguise himself to protect his future bride and prevent war in a foreign land. Handel’s virtuoso vocal writing makes this an eagerly-anticipated premiere for all lovers of Baroque music. Tim Mead makes his OTSL debut as Richard, with Susannah Biller (The Elixir of Love) returning has his beautiful soon-to-be bride. Christian Curnyn and Lee Blakely both make debuts as conductor and director.
