Prelude to the Season
Have you ever wanted to sit in the orchestra pit during an opera, or have a glass of champagne with the conductor? Don’t miss your opportunity to bid on unforgettable experiences at Prelude to the Season, sponsored by the Opera Theatre Guild on April 16, 2011!
The evening will feature both a silent auction and brief live auction of one-of-a-kind OTSL experiences and “naming rights.” Fantastic items include: Two Halloween costumes from the Whitaker Opera Warehouse costume stock, a dance class with director and choreographer Seán Curran, champagne with John McDaniel and unique “naming rights” for items such as Don Giovanni’s mandolin and the 21st Regiment’s cannon in The Daughter of the Regiment. New this year are OTSL “High C Notes” — play money that is included with each ticket level and can be applied toward your auction bids!
With a performance by Gerdine Young Artist Adrian Rosas, and the wonderful leadership of co-chairs Mary Susman & Tom Herm, Jenny Gupta & Steve Trampe, and Janet & Andy Hoyne, this event is sure to be the highlight of April! Tickets start at $100 and the event will take place at the Sally S. Levy Opera Center.
